Well & Sick Care

Well Care Consultations & Examinations

Well-care examinations are the cornerstone of health care for your animals. It is far easier, and safer, to prevent medical problems than it is to treat them after they occur. Routine physical examinations and discussions of your pet's health allow Dr. Ridlen to make sure your pet stays healthy, and to catch minor problems before they have a chance to become major health problems. Although most people assume that only cats and dogs require routine examinations, all species of animals will benefit from well-care consultations. This is especially true of horses, which need routine exams and dental care. Additionally, this is the perfect time to perform routine health maintenance procedures, such as dewormings. Well-care examinations can take place either at the veterinary hospital or on your premises. Yearly well-care examinations are recommended to make sure that your pet is healthy.

Sick Care Examinations

Dr. Ridlen is always available if your pet or farm animal is not feeling up to par. Early intervention for an animal with an illness offers the best chance for quick, complete treatment and resolution of the problem. The staff at the Colorado Valley Veterinary Services is skilled at combining the history of your animals' problems with a thorough medical examination so that sound recommendations can be made for diagnostics and treatment. For proper diagnosis, additional testing may be needed. Dr. Ridlen will make diagnostic recommendations after he examines the animal. These examinations can be done at the veterinary hospital or on the farm. Treatment will be started as soon as possible to help ensure the best possible outcome.
