Horse Vaccinations
Routine vaccinations are needed by all horses in order to maintain their good health. It is much easier to prevent these diseases than to attempt to treat them. Despite intensive therapy, many of these diseases cannot be successfully treated, and infected horses may die, or fail to ever regain full health. Therefore, timely vaccination is critical to prevent these illnesses.
Most vaccines are given on an annual basis, but some horses may require more frequent vaccines. Horses that may benefit from twice yearly vaccination include those that are involved in showing, competitions, or travel, and animals that change hands through sales.
