LARGE ANIMAL REPRODUCTIVE CARE

Reproductive care encompasses much of livestock care. Dr. Ridlen will perform blood tests to make sure animals are healthy, and perform tests for breeding soundness. He will perform breeding soundness exams on bulls and will check for semen numbers, quality, and motility. He can palpate open animals to check for breeding dates, check for pregnancy, and help in the delivery of calves and other hoof stock. He can offer breeding advice and nutritional help and perform artificial insemination. He is skilled at performing caesarean sections, if needed, and can help ensure the health of the new calves, lambs, and kids. All of his help is simply a phone call away.
